Hotel Review: The Henry, Autograph Collection – An Artsy & Chill Stay for Teens

Hey, I’m Mateo from This Teen Travelz, and today I’m reviewing one of my favorite hotels ever—The Henry, Autograph Collection in Dearborn, Michigan. I’ve stayed here several times with my family, and every visit has been awesome.

If you’re a teen who loves great vibes, fast Wi-Fi, cool art, and a good pool scene—this place delivers. Let’s get into it!

First Impressions: Friendly Faces & Fresh Scents

From the moment you walk in, the staff is super friendly—they actually greet teens like we matter, which I really appreciate. And I know this sounds random, but the lobby smells amazing. Seriously, it gives the whole place a luxury feel right from the start.

Art on Every Floor (Even Baby Yoda!)

One of the coolest things about The Henry is the art. This hotel feels like an art gallery. Every floor and hallway has paintings—some are serious art pieces, and others are pop culture favorites.

On one trip, I saw Star Wars-themed paintings with Baby Yoda (Grogu)—instant favorite. I even asked about them, and the staff told me most of the art is for sale, so it changes often. Every time I come back, there’s something new to see.

Room Vibes & Tech Check

The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Beds? Comfy. Showers? Great pressure. But most importantly—the TV is easy to connect your Nintendo Switch to, which is a big win in my book.

🔌 Pro tip: Bring a power strip. Sometimes outlets are limited, and you don’t want to fight over charging space.

Wi-Fi Speeds? Fast & Teen-Approved

Wi-Fi is a big deal for us, right? The Henry passed the test. I connected all my devices—laptop, iPad, phone, and Nintendo Switch—without any issues. Speeds were solid for gaming and streaming. Total green light.

Snacks, Breakfast & the Bonvoy Lounge

My dad is a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, which means we had access to the Member Lounge—snacks, drinks, and chill space in the evening. I’ve also had breakfast in the lounge and the hotel’s restaurant—both had great food with lots of options.

Even if you’re not a Bonvoy member, the restaurant serves all meals and there’s a little market by the front desk where you can grab drinks, snacks, and small souvenirs.
